Googlegear Ranked Number One in Loyalty Among Top Computer Hardware Sites

    NEWARK, Calif., July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Googlegear
( http://www.googlegear.com/ ), the Internet-based computer and electronics
store who gave away tens of thousands of scanners in a promotion earlier this
year, has the highest customer loyalty rating of all top hardware web sites,
according to June statistics from PC Data Online
( http://www.pcdataonline.com/ ).  None of the fifty sites listed on the "Top
Hardware Web Sites" report outranks Googlegear in the "Top Monthly Site
Loyalty" report.  Close contenders for the number one position include
Camarades.com, Compaq.com, and Egghead.com, in order of Loyalty Ranking.
    Googlegear users visited the site 1.06 days out of every 10 that they used
the Internet; 40.7% of Googlegear's May visitors returned to the site in June.
Furthermore, Googlegear had the 11th highest number of unique users in June
among hardware sites, with 648,000.
